The 11th annual Ken Sanford, DDS Memorial Ride will take
place June 27-30 in California’s Eastern Sierra. Join colleagues and friends for
two fun days of riding, hiking and sightseeing in the town of Lone
Pine.
Similar
to last year’s event, there will be no formal ride. Attendees will have the
option to choose which routes they would like to travel with whomever they wish.
In addition to the scenic day trips, riders can tour the Museum of Western Film
History, golf at the Mt. Whitney Golf Course, explore the nearby Alabama Hills
and enjoy great food at local eateries.
Newly
added presentations — one on CPR/AED, a second on first aid and trauma
assessment and a third on major topics in human resources — offer a combined six
hours of C.E. The $325 registration fee covers all three sessions (one course
each day, Friday through Sunday, from 8 to 10 a.m.) and includes a participant
T-shirt for those who register by May 23.
Rooms
reserved at the Dow Villa Motel will receive a special rate of $113 for a king
or queen bed and $122 for two queen beds. To make your reservation, call
760.876.5521 and tell the front desk you are a member of the CDA motorcycle
group.
Ken
Sanford, DDS, was one of the original organizers of the first motorcycle ride in
2009. The event was renamed in his honor after his death the following year. The
annual ride benefits two key CDA Foundation programs: CDA Cares, the
volunteer-run dental clinic held twice yearly, and the annual Student Loan
Repayment Grant.
