The Dental Board of California requires that all dentists, registered dental hygienists and registered dental assistants take 2 units of dental law every two years in order to renew their license. The Dental Board of California requires a discussion on the Dental Practice Act, dental auxiliaries, scope of practice, prescription of medications and renewal of license.
